Mirror Macbook Pro Display to an Ipad

In this post, we are going to look on how to mirror MacBook pro display to an Ipad. I'm always on the move & sometimes difficult to work without a second monitor.

After some research, i am able to do mirror to my companion "Ipad".

[ Preparation ]
1.Buy an Aukey USB 3.0 to Type C Adapter. Connect to your existing lighting cable & with this connector, you able to plug directly to Macbook Type C.

2. Buy Duet Display on Ipad AppleStore. It cost around RM39.90 [ USD 9.70 ]
3.Install Duet Display for Mac from here: https://www.duetdisplay.com/
4. Connect the cable from Macbook to Ipad

[ Setup]

1. Run the Duet Display on ipad

2. It has successful extend the screen from macbook to an Ipad

On Macbook, you can play around the settings. Either to extend the screen or mirror, change framerate, quality and enable Retina. During testing, found that i can enable Touchbar from Ipad

Quite happy with the mirroring using Duet Display & worth every penny. If you prefer to use wireless, you can subscribe annually for Duet Air {RM79.90)

Then for using Pencil,you can subscribe annually for Duet Pro. (RM 99.90)

For me, i prefer to use Duet Display with cable. Give it a try if you have an ipad & macbook.
