Last month, Microsoft has released a new Linux integration services (LIS) 3.5 for older linux distributions. For newer Linux distributions, LIS is built into the Linux operating system and no separate download or installation is required.
This version of LIS supports the following version of Hyper-V:-

- Windows 8 Pro

- Microsoft Hyper-V Server 2012 R2
This version of LIS supports the following guest operating system
- RHEL 5.5-5.8, 6.0-6.3 x86 and x64
- CentOS 5.5-5.8, 6.0-6.3 x86 and x64

If you’re existing linux virtual machine is running LIS 3.4, you can upgrade to this version.
